AGES 13 - 17
With nearly $10 million dollars a year in scholarship money, esports is quickly becoming a strong college sport contender. There is no denying the popularity and excitement of organized, multiplayer video game competitions. In this camp, students will learn and practice three integral roles of esports entertainment: event players, tournament organizers, and shout casters. They will study the tactics of pro players and implement new strategies to improve their competitive edge whilst managing screen-time to safeguard mental and physical health. They will gain knowledge in event planning and management, video production, and community engagement. Collaboration is key to the success of multiplayer competitions, so together they will design, compete, produce, and shout cast a professional grade championship tournament event. By the end of camp, students will have experienced the complete esports ecosystem. All levels of experience welcome!
