3D ART AND ANIMATION
AGES 13 - 17
3D art is used in a variety of mediums ranging from movies and video games to websites and advertisements. It’s no surprise the demand for talented entertainment and media artists is on the rise. In this camp, students will explore modeling, texturing, lighting, animating and rendering as they work to complete a variety of digital projects. Utilizing Autodesk Maya, an Oscar-winning 3D software, students will explore the fundamentals of digital illustration, analyze character construction and movement, practice professional workflows, and create customized animation that can effectively communicate and idea or story to an audience. They will apply the 12 principles of animation and learn software concepts such as keyframing, viewports, and playblasting. 3D art is a complex topic that can take months or years to learn, and this is the perfect first step into becoming a 3D artist! Don’t miss out!
