A music synthesizer is a popular and widely used electronic instrument that is specifically programmed to generate, modify, and copy sounds. In this workshop, students will explore the artistry of synthesizer technology which includes sound waves, filters, and frequencies. They will incorporate subtractive synthesis, the most basic form of sound synthesis, using Ableton Live’s powerful instruments to create a simple bass, pad, and lead sound for an original song track.
