FAQs

Where are Summer Camps located?

2019 Summer Camps are held in Winter Park at Full Sail Labs and Full Sail University.

Is Full Sail Labs part of Full Sail University?

Full Sail Labs was designed by Full Sail University and operates on the same campus. Because of that, it benefits from the same security protocol, such as an on-site campus security team and 24-hour surveillance. The Full Sail Labs facility has its own building with a learning environment designed for children and their parents.

Is Full Sail Labs accredited?

The training provided is for personal enrichment and is not transferable or accredited.

Does Full Sail Labs have overnight camps?

We do not offer overnight camps for our programs. If you are traveling to join us for our Summer Camps, you may click here for a hotel list.

What happens if a camp is canceled?

Full Sail Labs reserves the right to cancel or postpone any camp due to insufficient enrollment or unforeseen circumstances. If a camp is canceled, registrants will be notified immediately and refunds will be processed.

Can I choose more than one week?

Yes, you can join us for as many weeks as you like during the summer and even choose the same subject. If you enroll in multiple weeks you will receive a discount of $50-$200 depending on the number of camps and which location you register for.

What does my child need to bring/not bring

The only thing they need to bring is a lunch, their creative juices, and enthusiasm! Our lab environments are equipped with everything our students need to develop their creative projects.

Are there early drop-off and late pickup times?

Early drop-off is from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. with late pick up available until 6:00 p.m. We will, of course, remain with a child if they are left past the end of class time, but please be advised there is a late pickup fee of $1 per minute.

If the week I want is full, is there a waiting list?

Yes. For those classes that are already full, we will maintain a waiting list. To get on the waiting list, you must complete an online application indicating the session in which you are interested. Credit card information is required but will not be charged at this point. As spaces become available, the first name in the waiting list will be called and offered the spot.

What housing/hotel accommodations do you have/recommend?

Click here for a hotel list. Many of the accommodations on our list offer a special Full Sail rate.

How are refunds processed?

If you need to cancel or withdraw from a camp, please notify our office as soon as possible, either by phone or in writing (mail or email). A cancellation fee of $100 will be applied. No refunds are given after a camp begins.

Can my child take the same Summer Camp more than once?

Yes. Although the projects in each camp are preset and designed with specific criteria and milestones, all projects can be customized based on personal interests. For example, game genres are chosen ahead of time for our Game Design & Coding camp. If you wish to enroll in this camp twice, it must be understood your child will make the same style of games in both weeks, but your child would be able to make a brand NEW version the second time around—resulting in two uniquely crafted games of the same genre. Additionally, we love to incorporate student-teaching when a child repeats a subject, allowing that child an opportunity to co-facilitate the learning process.
