Minecraft is more than just a top-selling PC game. It is an engaging environment where spatial thinking, problem solving, storytelling, mathematics, and visual arts merge creating a virtual classroom perfect for exploring STEAM concepts. In this virtual camp, students implement the Engineering Design Process as they design, plan, and build multidimensional structures within the Minecraft world, including historical replicas, biological structures, artistic pixel art sculptures, and designs using Redstone circuitry. With each project, students will practice and hone research skills, work as a team, and discover how Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics relates to them in the future.
