MINI MOVIE MAKER
AGES 7 - 12
A story is worth a thousand takes. In this camp, story will call the shots on all projects. Working in small production crews, creative collaboration and constructive criticism will be a major force as students produce story-driven short film projects starting with a silent film and culminating on a scripted short narrative film. Students will focus on script analysis, script editing, punching up comedy, and shot-for-shot scene recreation before spending the final two days of camp writing, filming, and editing their own story idea based on a single shared film title. Students will get hands on experience using high end HD video cameras, have access to fun and exciting shooting locations including the Full Sail backlot, and use iMovie editing software to complete their projects—elevating their film production craft and bringing their stories to life!
