ART AND ANIMATION
AGES 7 - 12
Kids love to draw, doodle, and dive into imaginary worlds. In this camp, students get to do just that as they bring characters to life through animation. Following the 12 principles of animation, students will create characters that adhere to basic laws of physics and evoke personality and visual appeal. They will start with the fundamentals of stop motion animation, incorporating camera technique, lighting and frame-by-frame image capturing. Once a solid foundation of key frames has been established, they will move on to create 2D animated stories. They will implement storytelling techniques to enhance emotional appeal and will create storyboards to ensure an effective plan is in place for each creative project. By the end of this camp, students will have the art and animation skills to create more exciting projects at home!
