About the Course
Discover how sound shapes the way we experience games, film, and interactive worlds. In this camp, students blend music production, sound design, and real-time interaction using Unreal Engine 5 and Ableton Live—two powerful tools used across modern media industries. Students will explore how audio can drive visual and gameplay elements by building sound-reactive environments inside Unreal Engine. Using MIDI and audio tracks from Ableton, they will connect music to dynamic elements such as lighting, particle systems, animation triggers, camera movement, and material effects. Using Unreal’s Blueprint visual scripting, students will create logic systems that respond to rhythm, volume, frequency data, and musical timing. They will experiment with audio integration pipelines. They will develop technical and creative skills in audio integration, sound-driven interactivity, and multimedia storytelling. By the end of camp, students will have built their own interactive audio experience, combining technical design with creative composition to showcase the power of sound-driven storytelling in real-time worlds.
